I have an 05 Southwind, I cannot locate the switch to turn on the Amplified Antenae. It should have one,,, Shouldn't it? I looked in the manual and unless I missed it it doesn't say anything about it!
Of course it's probably right under my nose!
Regards,
RovinOn

Terry, I checked back there and found nothing except for one power recepticle. That behind the video area is a rats nest of cable and wiring which in time has to be sorted out. I'll check again.
Thanks for the thought!
Regards,
RovinOn / 05 Southwind

Look on the power receptical. There should be a small push button. Mine lights up green when I push it in. My 2002 Discovery has two recepticals behind all the wires. What a mess of wires.

Rovinon,
I have an '05 Bounder and do not have a switch. However, the switch box where you select DVD, ANT, SAT, etc has 12V to it. I think it works like this; when you select ANT, 12V is switched to the amplifier located in the batwing via the coax cable and activates it.
Much like a satellite set up on the roof, DC voltage is provided to the LNB via the coax to select horizontal or vertical polarization.
Hope this helps.

RVonin,
I was right, the switch box does provide 12v needed for the amplifier.
Go down to the Technology forum and find the sticky titled Understanding Video Switch Boxes, it tells you how they work. It's for a Winnebago but I'm sure they are generic.

Tincup,,, Thanks, I'll check to see if my switchbox is powered!
Chuck, that's what I was looking for since my Bounder was the same way, but an older model! As Tincup pointed out with the powerd switchbox,,, Technologies change and sometimes we don't see it right of way!
Thanks guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,I appreciate it!

Can you point us to a picture of it... I know two different systems
1: The wall plate, 12 volt outlet, antenna connection, button, light
(On this unit light ON (*)=Rooftop ant Light off (0) = Park Cable)
2: Multi swich box, round button top left of box is power to antenna
If there is a new one ... I've not seen it and since folks ask me that kind of question all the time... I'd love to see it
