Which one?

I am checking all my fluids and see that I have a hydraulic resovore and pump in compartment drivers side up front, and also a resevoir in the back back engine. Which is for what. levelers and slide outs? Also how do I know what fluid to use in them. 06 Fleetwood Revolution LE

If your Rev has a side radiator, it probably has a hydraulically driven, variable speed fan for that. That would be the hydraulics in the back in the actual engine compartment. If you have hydraulic jacks, that would have a separate reservoir. Mine is in a rear bay on the passenger side, but yours could be elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure your REV have electric rack & pinion geared slides, not hydraulic, but I've been wrong before.

The chassis owner manual should describe what hydraulic fluid is used, but a call to the chassis maker (Spartan or Freightliner) would obtain that info. For the jacks, are they Power Gear or Equalizer brand? Fleetwood has used both brands. Both Equalizer and Power Gear specify Type A ATF (automatic transmission fluid), e.g. GM's Dexron fluid.

Pete, If your RV is a diesel pusher , it would help other members if you could include more info in your signature line . Freightliner chassis? Side radiator ? Engine ?

The reservoir in the engine bay will probably be for your power steering, and if you have a side radiator , with hydraulic fan , the same fluid will drive the rad fan. The reservoir with pump up front is probably for the levelers/slide. When you operate the slide is that where the pump noise comes from? What brand of levelers does your coach have ? HWH ? Power Gear?
HWH used , ATF in their older systems , but switched to a hydraulic fluid in newer models . Info on fluid is on their web site.
EDIT : I see that Gary posted while I was away typing , boy I type slow.
