Whole house filter question 2007 Discovery
Does the standard whole house filter in my 2007 discovery also filter the water from our fresh water tank, or does it only filter the water coming in from the city connection?
Thanks...

On my 07 Excursion it filters ALL of the water entering the coach as long as you fill the fresh tank with the fill valve in the utility bay and not the port on the side of the coach.

Thank you for the reply. So when running off the fresh water tank, it does not filter after the pump. It just filters it on the way into the fresh water tank?

That's the way it works on my 38S. Filters only incoming water...not what is in the tank after it's filled.

I thought I would update this, as this is the response I got from fleetwood. according to the picture that they sent, it looks like the filter is plumbed in after the fresh water tank or city connection.
So it looks like the water would be filtered regardless of which way you filled the fresh tank (gravity or city connection)

It does not filter FROM the fresh tank, it only filters TO the fresh tank & only if you are using fill valve in the wet bay. If you gravity fill your fresh tank from the port on the other side of your coach, you will not have filtered water in your fresh tank.

If you look at the drawing from fleetwood, it shows the filter is plumbed in after the water pump.

Drawings can be wrong as things can change during build. Some things changed on mine.
You'll be able to tell by looking at in in your bay & tracing the pipes going to/from it.

Whole house filter question 2007 Discovery
That drawing is possibly in error. Mine isn't plumbed that way.
I doubt the pump would even provide acceptable pressure through the filter.

On my 2014 Southwind the filter is after the city water inlet and the tank/pump thus filtering both the tank water and the city water before it goes to the taps.
