Why do I have an inverter, 2014 36E?

Just curious, I haven't been able to figure out why, where, and how to use the 1200 W inverter.
With the coach unplugged from shore power, generator off, I've plugged a light into every socket I could find and nothing. Is there some magic I'm missing.
Our old Tropical inverter powered the front tv and there was one socket available.
From the brochure....
• 120V/12V AC/DC Converter
• Water Pump Switches in
Multiple Locations
• 34,000 BTU Furnace
• 10-Gallon Quick Recovery
Water Heater w/Direct Spark

• Complete PEX Plumbing System
• Deluxe Roller Bearing,
Full-Extension Drawer Guides
& Transit-Ship Locks
• Dual 6V Deep-Cycle
House Batteries
• Dual Roof A/C High-Effi ciency
w/Solar Panel, Chill Grills &
Bedroom Heat Pump
• Energy Management System
• LED Lighting
• LG Solid-Surface Countertops
• Solid Divider Doors

• Water Heater Bypass Valve
• Whole-Coach Water

• Pleated Day/Night Shades

Thanks

A call to FW will get you a schematic showing what the inverter is powering. 800-322-8216

The chances are that your inverter simply isn't on. Somewhere in the coach you probably have a remote panel that controls it. Find the panel and turn on the inverter. Most MH inverter/converters have internal transfer switches so they never have to be turned off.

Thanks, just read the thread "Electrical diagram for my rig".
So, I guess I'll have to call them.

In our 2012 Bounder, there is an inverter disconnect switch in the first basement bay next to the entry door. It is bright red and well marked. The inverter is also in that bay, and I believe has an on/off switch as well.

The inverter does not power up all of your outlets. As an example, a 2014 33C electrical diagram will help you understand. Look for CONV/INV on the diagram page 1. You can trace the wire leading to you TV equipment, the outlet on the passenger side and an outlet near the mid TV. It terminates in the bedroom. It's not your coach but has to be similar.

There should be a small control panel near your steps with buttons. Look at your Magnum manual.

When you are hooked to shore power, the inverter does not supply 120v to these locations. You cannot mix inverter power and shore power so the inverter disables 120v inverted from the batteries.

Well, didn't think of that and I know where it is. Drat!
I'll have to check this weekend. (LOL)

On our electrical panel, we have a section where there are four buttons:

Charger on/off and Inverter on/off. The inverter must be manually turned on to work.

Inverter is probably not turned on. Else maybe it is wired to only power the refrigerator if residential type.

My 2014 35K has the inverter switch above the LP gas tank. This is the compartment just to the left of the entry door. There is a shelf above the LP tank in this area you will also find the panel for the fuses that control the steps. This is inside a door that has all kinds of warnings on it.
I could not find those fuses so I called Fleetwood. They were very helpful. They told me right were to look and what to look for.
They can probable tell you what out lets will work with the inverter.

This is your switch next to your steps. Push button light comes on. Inverter supplies what I posted in the pdf.

If your disconnect switch is off your batteries will not be charged.

Thanks SarahW and WoodyDEL. I checked the power switch in the lower storage compartment and the switch was on. I had no idea on the Magnum, what the on/off button, was for. Can't wait to check the what happens when I push it!
LOL, I'm just a simple guy!
