Picked up our new 2008 35E about a month ago. Have gone over everything again and again...still no glitches. Got the Ford chassis, I think it's great. I toured the factory in PA before buying....I saw everything in the build process and it seemed good. The floorplan of the 35E is great. The 2008's now come on Platform Plus so the basement storage is considerably better. The body paint is great. I really haven't found any weaknesses yet. For the money I thinks it's the best deal.
I have just about gotten everything into it so
will weigh it soon....the tires came aired up to
100 psi which is high and even at that the ride/handling is good. I put in a Progressive
surge guard and a macerator dump pump.

Congrats, JIMOC on your new ride...I recently purchased the rig in my signature, went over it with a fine tooth comb, overall very impressed with the Fleetwood build.
I do have a floor squeak in the main living area (under carpeting) that is bugging me, got to see if I can fix that myself.
This is my first Class A (after 6 Class Cs in 28 years) so my experience is limited, but I do know a well designed, well built coach when I see one.

Steve, the Falcon II seems to be a good tow solution. I recommend you get a few thousand miles on the rig before you decide about the Banks system. The Banks costs a good buck and I think it helped the older V10's but unless your personal needs (a lot of mean hills for instance) make you think it worthwhile you could end up spending more than you will feel was worth it. If you are interested in that I would also recommend first spending some time
consulting with Brazels RV Performance first to fully consider cost/options to improvements. You can look in the Ford Chassis section of the Chassis Club here on IRV2 for some info on that.
Good luck,
Jim OConnell

I had a 2007 35E built for me last year. (Nov 2006) The coach has been great. My wife and I love the floor plan. Fleetwood gave me Alcoa wheels and a Workhorse chasis at no cost. We added all options except the table and chairs. We wanted the extra bunk space for our grandchildren. You will be very happy with your new coach.
