I plan on blowing out my lines this year instead of using antifreeze. Does anyone have any tips for me given the fact that this is my first time blowing out the lines instead of using antifreeze?

How do I deal with the ice maker and the chilled water cooler built into the refrigerator?

Any comments would be appreciated.

You might want to try a search on here and see what comes up. I've used the old style by installing anti-freeze when needed. Good Luck.

I just got done blowing all my lines out for winterizing. First time not using RV antifreeze. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to winterize the icemaker??

I remove the solenoid valve, run air out to the valve just before the solenoid valve (with the valve open, of course), and blow the other line out up to the icemaker with mouth power.

It's an easy removal, two wires, two water connections and a wired round device that clips to the valve (forget what it's for)...just store inside and replace in spring.

I have made a 110 pig tail for the solenoid. When the pigtail is plugged into a 110 outlet, the valve is open and I use a compressed air connection (including a water separator and pressure regulator) to purge the ice maker and all other appliances.
