We are looking at buying a 2001 Foretravel U320, 42 foot double slide. The forward ceiling mirror is cracked at both ends and there is a horizontal crack in the two corian shower walls. Both are repairable.

The salesman from MOT believes the cracks occurred when the owner got the coach in a bind which resulted in the damage.

Is anyone aware of this happening before. I am concerned about hidden damage and the possibility that the frame is somehow damaged.

We test drove the coach and it drives very well and there are no obvious indications that there are hidden problems. The coach also has the 3M masking peeling off.............another cosmetic concern.

We are very interested in hearing from someone with Foretravel knowledge.................does this story about the cracks seem to hold water?

Welcome shiner to irv2.
No clue how ceiling mirror might have got cracked most times the chassis frame maybe involved is when the Jacks are not put down correctly and frame will twist and pop out the windshield.
The Corian bath may have cracked from cold temps during winter months.
Just added a sticky top of this forum that may have some answers for you.
Good luck and enjoy your coach.

i suspect the coach may have gotten into a bind. crossing a low swell ditch might have put it in a bind. the coach is well build, but is not a tank. foretravel of texas can repair all of that and the nose coat.

boyce and lisa
