WE ARE TAKING POSSESION (NEXT WEEK) OF A 1989 GRAND VILLA WITH THE DETROIT DIESEL UNDER THE BED. ANY THOUGHTS ON REDUCING THE NOISE LEVEL? THERE IS A DEEP "WELL" WHEN THE BED IS RAISED THAT MIGHT BE USED TO FILL WITH A SOUND BARRIER. BUT, IS ACCESS NECESSARY FOR MAINTENANCE ? ALSO, FIRE HAZARD AN ISSUE?
WE TRAVEL WITH OUR PET AND THE LOUDER NOISE WILL PROBABLY BE TERRIFYING.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Unless I have the window open all I hear is not much of anything. I have a 6v92 Detroit. Don't worry. You may get some heat transfer, though. That would happen with any engine.

Unless you have super sensitive ears you'll find that the Foretravel is extremely well insulated against noise. I too have a diesel pusher Foretravel with a detroit and its very quiet.
