inverter/heart question
I am having trouble getting my inverter/heart to switch to line feed when I get home and plug it in. I lights up green that the correct power is coming in but the batteries do not charge. 1997 Foretravel, by the way. If I take a bumpy ride, like the one to Motorhome of Texas which is 9 hours away from me, it decides to work but when I get back home I have the same problem again. I have had electrician check out the power supply, no problem there. Had the cord ends changed and rechecked, no problem there. MHOT said to "bump" with rubber handle, the converter, but where is that?? What does it look like? (yes, I'm a woman but I can read instructions books) and there is not a picture of what the thing looks like, just the console control. HELP

What is the model number of your inverter?
There is a good chance that it is a combination inverter, converter and charger.
BTW what, or who, is is MHOT

MHOT is Motor Homes of Texas. (Foretravel repair center and they do other large luxury coaches too.)

Me thinks you need to provide more detailed information about your "inverter/heart", (whatever that is), or about your coach, before anyone can offer help.

turned the coach around, ran the generator for a while, which by the way, WAS charging the house batteries like the Heart is supposed to and when I plugged in the original cord from the motorhome with no extensions, it worked and started charging the batteries from the current. Hurrah!!! I'm leaving it right there until spring and hope the power does not go off here in town until then. Whew!!!

I'm happy for you that nothing was wrong.
Is "the Heart" your inverter/charger?
Wondering

Rae Dene; Welcome to iRV2.
If you could take a few moments and fill out a " Signature Line " by clicking " Quick Links" under your welcome message , then " Edit Signature" and type in your coach info, make , model , year etc. , then save at the bottom of that page. Your coach info will automatically appear below your posts ; as mine does below this one ; and the info will help other members provide help when you ask questions.
