New at RVing
My wife and I are new to RVing and just purchased a 1999 Foretravel U270 36'. Coach only has 43k miles and is in great shape. I have noticed the odometer will not read the miles. I know the mileage from service records. The hours show up. Does anyone have any ideas. Thought I might be missing something. Thanks

Welcome to irv2. Any additional info ( chassis , odometer make/ mfg ) would be helpful.

You might ask on Foretravel Owner's Forum -- ForeForums It's a forum dedicated to Foretravels and has over 2500 members.

As has been suggested, join the Foreforum.com group.
Your question on speedos and issues has very recently been a thread. There are a couple of solutions that other Foretravel owners have posted to resolve the issue. Some replaced some had theirs serviced. My 98 has a button on the face that changes display from miles to trip and can clear trip. Sometimes mine is not showing, other times, clear and perfect. A loose or dirty ground connection has been the simplest solution for some.
Next call Beverly at Foretravel of Texas with your build number. On the wall by your left elbow is the data plate, with VIN # and build number below. Your build number will have your year, build #, length, layout, engine and transmission codes. She will get you signed up for your free first year's club membership, and your member numbers, the magazine, and more on their way to you.
Then if you might need parts or service, your new membership will get you a 10% discount on parts and service.
irv2 has a huge wealth of info, on lots of subjects and is very active. The Foreforum is really specialized with many members with years or decades of Foretravel knowledge to share. There are links to Barry Beam's huge data base for Foretravels, history, specs, parts, links, FAQ, and more as well.
Enjoy your new coach, we sure do our's.

Please note the correct url for Foreforums is Foretravel Owner's Forum -- ForeForums - don't forget the "s" . IRV2 is a fantastic resource; as sailwind2003 pointed out Foreforums specifically covers Foretravels.

Check the connections on the back. I had a 99 and I had to replace the speedo and the milage will total then. Also you could just get silverleaf and it will show it too.
