Depends on floorplan how much storage you get. You can design anything that will fit size and weight wise. Plastic I'd everything but a Prevost. They have stainless steel sides. The H3s though are fiberglass tbough.

We have our choices down too 3. Ih 45 first, king aire then a cornerstone which is the one my financial guy thinks makes sense. Where did you buy your FT?

If you want to order one, you to talk to the factory, for a visit with the designers. Then you will wait for the build. They have several in stock if you like them.

Motorhomes Specialists in Alvarado TX, just south of Ft. Worth, has 2 new IH45's in stock parked front row this week. Those are priced at $850K and $870K.
Foretravel Motorhomes, Foretravel RV, New RVs, Used RVs

Only your first two choices have 600hp, and only Foretravel has the transmission retarder listed as standard feature. Seems only your first choice has the flush slideout wall system, and maybe true flat floor slides.

I bought my first at the factory and then the second for a short while from a friend. I bought my current one from Motorhomes of Texas but that was when they had dealers. Now they only sell new factory direct. I bought my first one that way too. They have more control over the coach and the quality of the people working there. Ask for Tyle and he will design it with you. Tell him John sent you. My motorcaded number is 15502. He will know. I will say this, I am a financial guy and it never makes sense to buy any motorhome financially. It does make sense when you are using it. You will find that many FT owners use theirs a lot and drive them a lot too. We had a couple get their 600,000 mile pin in October. I am only at 350,000 but they have all been great miles. The fact that they start with a clean sheet of paper and you choose the fabrics and the stone and tile or not or heated floors. You choose the layout and the number of slides. I will say this, if I was building today it would be 2 or 3 slide but probably 2. A slide takes 18 inches of inside storage away for the mechanism. You will get a huge fuel tank and a huge water and waste tank. THe only manufacturer close is Newell and they are a million bucks more. They are designed as a Motorhome and are well built. There is a 7 day a week emergency number you can call during most hours too if you need help and there is a forum that has huge information on it too.

I had just taken a quick look at a Cornerstones dealers website, all were listed at 450hp. I did not notice the upgrade that you listed on the K3 chassis.

You had mentioned wanting to pull a stacker trailer. I know that I sure like the 6 position joy stick retarder. The speed and braking control when towing my truck on long down grades is very nice.

Good luck with your "which" coach choice.

There is nothing like a retarder. It is a standard feature on three motorhomes. THe Featherlite the liberty and the Foretravel. They work very well and you have 6 levels. It wills top you all the way back and it is like you put the brakes on. It is also set up to come on with a light brake application at level 2 and fully with hard braking. It is how many pounds of pressure on the brake pedal that make the difference. I know that many of us get well over 100K miles on our brakes and you should push them every morning before you start to make sure everything is working and adjusted. You might not touch them again for a long time that day.

It depends on how the switch is set up. I know I will go to 30 pounds and it will run every few days to relevel and to keep air in the bladders. It runs about 5 mins but I have a small pump.

Has any FT owners have a problem with service? Looked at King Aire salesperson said that service would be an issues lack of places to get your coach serviced.

First of all saying poor things about your competition is bad salesmanship and saying lies is even worse. Foretravel has service centers all over the country. They also have a deal with many of the cummins coach care facilities. They had a dealer network for a while and they still service the coaches too. You try to get a service appointment at one of Newmar places you might wait a months according to what I hear but who knows. I know I can get service appointment much faster than most. If you are on the road with an issue the factory will take you in or motorhomes of texas. I have used cummins coach care for standard chassis service. I am in service inside a week when I call. So to answer your question there are no issues. I have put on over 350K miles in my Foretravels and have crisscrossed the country many times and have never had an issue on the road either finding service when I needed it. I went on a gravel road that was soft and i had to push the pedal pretty hard to avoid getting stuck and threw a rock into a section of hose and cummins in Cedar Rapids took me right in.
