tonka,
We still have the old style aluminum tape system that goes to our Javelina monitor. When it gives up the ghost we are going to the Seelevel system. There are several Foretravel owners that have put these in and report that they have worked great. The only thing is that with the hight of our tanks you will have to get a "probe extension". The system will work without it but will only work on either the top half or bottom half of the tank depending on how the pick up probe is installed. Infact there is a member over on Foretravel Owner's Forum -- ForeForums that is having one installed on there U-320 this week(1/30-2/5-2012).
It is a do it your self job if you are handy with tools and the instructions that come with the system are good in explaning how to use the origonal wires from the tank location to the dash. Being able to do this saves you from having to pull new wires unless yours are shorted out for some reason.

I would seriously check the Excel owners forum there has been a ongoing discusion of problems some are having with the See Level Gauges with some good info for a See Level Owner, and after reading the posts I am glad we have the probes, several years and no problems though we are vary carefull about what goes into our tanks.

I installed the See Level system in Tinker and I have nothing but wonder at the ease of installation and the quality of the readouts. I find them very accurate and better that what I had before.

I agree with Possum. The See Level system was easy to install and works great. I installed ours about 6 months ago and the only problem we have had is I didn't get one wire connected good and had to reconnect it. I would highly recommend the system. The company that distributes them is located in Granbury, Tx where we live and they provide great tech support!

We have had the SeeLevel systems on two coaches, and I installed them. Best thing I have done. Wish that coach manufacturers would install these at the factory.
