Recently hooked up to city water, and pressure from the taps as well as the shower was poor that we had to put on coach pump to boost pressure. What could be the problem?. any help is appreciated.

First, welcome to iRV2.com. We're glad to have you join us.

Are you using one of the brass in-line pressure regulators on your city water supply? I've had those fail and reduce water flow in the RV to a trickle.

Tks Rusty,
I was using a regulator, and removed it thinking that was the problem, but alas that did not solve the problem.

If you take the city water entry apart, there should be a check valve at that point. make sure it is clear and works freely. The purpose is to prevent back flowing of the pump water when the pump operates.

Did you every figure out the problem, geran?

We're not a Foretravel owners; just admirers. However, if you haven't changed you "whole house" filter recently, you might give that a try as that is what solved our problem.

My last post in this thread describes how happy I am now:

If you have a whole coach water filter, check that. Could need changing. Restricted flow is our indicator to check the filter.

Thank you for the info.Have not yet had a chance to troubleshoot, but will look at the filters as well. Was advised it probably was the checkvalve.

I recently had a clogged inlet screen at the watts regulator.
