Which Choice? 1988 diesel Country Coach or 1991 gas Foretravel

I have the opportunity to buy either a 1988 Country Coach diesel with 60,000 miles or a 1991 gas Foretravel Grandville with 38,000 miles.

Which is the better choice for a first time RV'er?

Thanks.

sph123, Good golly! I have always loved the construction features inside a Foretravel Coach. It looks like they were assembled by artisans. I've always loved how those older Foretravels look! The Ford 460 engine is well supported and there's lot of parts for it.

I can comment of the 88 CC but I might want to drive them both and see which one you like!

Hi sph123,
I have little knowledge of the Country Coach diesel or the Foretravel gas motorhome. Based on engine type, age of motor home, and mileage I'd go for the gas machine. Odds are the gas machine will cost less to maintain and there may be fewer problems down the road of this adventure.
Have fun!
