Hi to all, My family have found and put a deposit through e-bay on a 2003 Sun Voyager it has only 36K miles and we bought it right ( I hope ) we paid $28,900 18K under NADA, We ordered a pre-purchase inspection by an independent inspector. If all is well we will pick it up Tuesday. I was hoping someone here has experience ( Good I hope ) with a similar coach. We have put nearly all our savings in it and will be taking our 2 special needs kids on our dream trip out west. Thanks for any help

Hello Fords!
Congratulations on your purchase. I think a 2003 Sun Voyager with 36K miles for only $28,900 is a fantastic deal. Hopefully it is in top condition and well loved! You did not mention which model it is (look for a 4 digit number near the word SunVoyager) like 8378.
Watch for the typical things in an older coach.
Date code on tires 7 or less years old.
Everything working as designed.
Brake recall having been performed. Assuming the coach is a Workhorse chassis.
Refrigerator recall performed.
(check that all recalls performed) Pull serial numbers and call the manufacturers and ask them yourself. Dont take anyone's word for it.
Maintenance records noting everything that should be done is freshly done.
It seems some folks view the GulfStream coach as a lesser quality coach. I bought my first GulfStream (99 SunSport) because the deal was right, I bought the 2nd (2005 SunVoyager) because I like the product, loved the way it looks, liked the floorplan and was happy with the price at $44K.
I am sure your kids will have the trip of a lifetime in your new coach no matter if your traveling across country or just going to the other side of town. The important part is to hop in the coach and use it. It is a whole different experience!
Best of luck with your new buggy!
Chris

Congrats Millred1!
Sounds like you got a great deal. Just in time for summer, hope you're ready to have some fun with it. I think you will be happy with the quality of the coach, some forum members say the GS coaches produced '04 and later had quality control issues due to cut backs etc. but you should be fine with an '03 model.
What are your plans for this summer, what would you like to see on your way out west?
Hope to see you on the road sometime!

Yes we are happy with our coach, It is a 8378 w/3slides and the workhorse chassis. We are hopeing to head out of Maryland across the north boarder of US. Making it to Yellowstone. Then down to Nevada seeing Las Vegas and then on to Grand Canyon. Then we will head out for Branson, Memphis, and end up in south Fl. WE will having no schedule or certain places we HAVE to see or time frame in each town as we no certain time to arrive in FL. hopefully our prayers we keep us safe on the road
Best to all

We have 2003 Gulf Stream Voyager. It is a 36" and we love it. Bought it with only 19,000 miles. Only thing we had to replace were tires. Looks brand new but weather cracked pretty bad. So chech your tires. Know you will enjoy your Gulf Stream.
