Air conditioner start problems

in order to start the air conditioner on my 1994 Gulfstream Scenic Cruiser I have to work with the switches that have the rear air, front air and generator that is located on a small black panel next to the entry door. Sometime the AC will fire right up and other times I have to sit and push all 3 switches one at a time that can sometimes take up to 30 min before the air fires up. This is while it is hooked to shore power (110 V). When the generator is running it will sometimes start easier. Anybody ever had this problem or any ideas. Thank you
PS it is a Coleman , about 2 years old 15,000 BTU

There is a built in time delay so let it have 3 to 5 minutes after selecting one before you push any other buttons. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you. When we buy used motor homes there is hardly every any owners mantels that come with them. I have struggled with this problem for the last two years and had no idea there was a delay to the start. Thank you so much.
