Hello,
I have a friend who has a GS friendship and can't locate the drain for the air tanks. I'm talking about draining the tanks completely to change the air dryer filter. Some think there is a laynard or rope someplace to pull and drain the tanks. If someone can help I would appreciate it for him.
Thanks,

The easiest way I've found to release the air pressure is to pump the brake pedal multiple times and watch the pressure gauges go down, eventually to zero.
My tank drain lanyards are behind the front wheel on the passenger side. I use my awning tool as a hook to reach them.

Mine are way up under the center of coach behind generator. I just dump the air on the leveling system and then pump brakes to bleed the system to zero when changing air filter/drier.

If you just "bleed" your air off with dumping and pumping, your tanks still will have water, oil in them. Draining your tanks get's the wet stuff out. Just a retired trucker advice.
