I have been looking for a way to run both a/c's on shore power but I am limited with 30 amp service. Someone on another thread suggested Power Solutions This sounds like a great way to be able to operate both a/c units at the same time on shore power. I started to look for my genset juction box, but the conduit disappears up under the gen compartment. I suspect the junction box is under the bed near the circuit breaker box.
Wondering if any one owning a late 90's Gulf Stream with 30 amp service has performed this upgrade.

You do realize that, even with this magic box, there are no miracles to be had. 30 amps is 30 amps. The generator likely has a 20 amp output that will be tapped get additional amps needed therefore you will likely have to run the generator to run the second AC.

My Onan 5000 genset, has a 30 amp circuit and a 20 amp circuit. when shore power is being used, only the 30 amp circuit is used, thus the 20 amp circuit is unpowered. The power solutions adapter taps into the unused 20 amp circuit and provides power for the other a/c unit. No it's not 50 amp service. It's 30 amp service along with a second 20 amp power cord that plugs into a standard household 15-20 amp 3 prong outlet, which is available at most campsites inside the power pedestal. By plugging in my 30 amp service cord and then plugging in the 20 amp cord, I will be able to use both a/c units on shore power.

I have not looked at the installation instructions of this system but I would warn to be sure the 20 amp connection is made AFTER the transfer switch. You do not want to send power back toward the generator.

I have a 50 amp coach and will tell you what I have done (2 A/C's)

I did not buy the Power Solutions product as I felt that I could "Home brew" one for less. So I did. basically an identical device only built by me not them at a much lower price.

The campsite I'm on just now is 50 amp, no problem Everything works exactly as designed at the factory

The campsite I was on last time (next door to where I am now) is 30 amp.. I opened the box. pulled the plug and socket apart, grabbed the Heavy Duty extension, plugged it into the 20 amp outlet next to the 30 in the box. and everything worked, Much the same as it is now. Just wife had to be a bit careful of turning on too many things on the (Water heater, Microwave and 1 A/c will trip 30 amps)

The thing works very well and I recommend it.

Only problem is: One chain of parks I stay at they are disabling the 20 amp outlets. (Simply to make sure you can't do what we do here)

There is a very easy mod you can do using a double throw douple pole relay 30 amp rated. When done all you have to do is plug in and extra cord to the 20 amp receptical in the pedestal the relay automatically switches to this input. You have to switch the neutral and hot or the GFCI will trip out.
