We got ours in 2012 with 12k on the clock for 50k, It needed slide toppers at the time. They declined my 1st offer, then after a month or so came back and accepted, turned out to be a divorce sale. Make sure that at least one of you can stand up on the far side of the bed due to the step over the engine. As far as being cheap, those ceiling lights were the 1st thing to go, they were the same lights I had in my 1st pop up! All depends on what your vision of what you want it to be.
You should have no problem towing a Jeep, I tow a 24' enclosed and pull most hills with eez. You can pm me if you want. Enjoy your Holidays

Don't know that an MSRP of $271K in 2006 is exactly bottom of the line. Obviously some much lower cost, but not the whole lineup.

Well, was going to look at the Gulf Stream today and it had already sold. Now considering an '06 Alfa SeeYa. We'll see how it pans out.

Mike, you will definitely want to reconsider an Alfa; lots of electrical and paint issues.

Did not own an Alfa; did repairs on many over the years. One of the biggest problems of the Alpha's electrical was in the DC charging circuits. Way over complicated and inconsistent as to the number of solenoids they would use to control charging, disconnecting, bypassing and boost assist for the three sets of battery banks. As was mentioned above the gelcoat had issues and the paint quality was effected.

Thanks for the info Wizard. I've been doing a lot of reading on Alfas. Going back to give it another look today. If the gelcoat blistering is minimal I'll probably pull the trigger. I think I can deal with the other issues.

Not on all years and models. Those that are cared for are striking inside and out! There is another post that is ongoing about Alpha's. You should check it out.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in and offered their advice and input on my questions. I am now the proud owner of a 2004 Tiffin Allegro Bus 38TGP. I will post a couple of pics on the "New Rig Show-off" forum!

I can not complain about my Gulf Stream Scenic Cruiser. Bought it brand new in 2003, have 62K miles on it now. It has been an excellent coach. It has the Neway Freight liner chassis with the 3126-E Caterpillar engine. Six speed Allison 3000 transmission. It is a smooth riding, with plenty of power once the engine broke in, which takes about 50K miles before they break in. Also I noticed that changing brand air filters from the original Farr to a Racor made a lot of difference. The Racor is a much better filter in my opinion.
