RV lemon lawyer said I would get no where with Gulfstream and suits under $10,000 not worth filing because of court costs, lawyer fees and risk of judges decision. I paid a shop to install floor rollers( had to pull the slide out), reattach the booth which had separated from the wall due to slide sag, and reinforced the top the slide which also had a sag in it. Costs me about $1,500, so I guess I got away cheap. Shop said Gulfstream is notorious for beating down dealers for shop reimbursement on warranty work. The shop owner said he stays away from all rv warranty work because many manufacturers stonewall warranty work reimbursement and create months of delay in sending parts that must be O.E.M. for warranty, when he could purchase an equivalent aftermarket part in days. I wish I had known this before I purchased a new rig. I will never buy NEW again. A local rv dealer has joined some kind of national trend by allying with a group that underwrites “lifetime” limited warranty work for FREE as a “hook”to buy from their dealership. They also provide that service for their automobile dealership. There is NO way their shop can service all warranty and regular shop service in a timely fashion.
