Considering 1999 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager 8293 Diesel

New member here, looking at above, wondering if there are any issues.
Looking for first MH, want to get into something low budget to get a feel if we want to upgrade, or get out without huge investment.

Thank You

Glad to have you here with us in the forum.

No issues that I am aware of. However, I would get an independent RV tech to do an inspection on it. Then you can feel more comfortable about buying his rig as you'll know what you're getting into..

Happy Trails!!!

It has had a leak where the rubber? roof joins the front cap, looks like that joint could use a re-seal. Might that be a good place for a strip of something I have heard of called Durable?
The rest of the roof looks ok, seems to be caulked good around everything else.

You may be thinking of EternaBond tape.

That's it, Eternabond! Would that be good?

Yes, just make sure it is wide enough to cover more than the sealant. You want to have the tape reach about an inch of good clean roof and front cap.

We were a Gulfstream dealer at this period of time. Gulfstream was a good company to work with. I worked with Tom Overton a lot. He was a great guy. If you said they had a problem, He would listen and help rectify it. Gulfstream made a decent coach, but it was very heavy. Some of their diesel pushers had a Net carrying capacity of only 1800 or so pounds.
