My door remote does not work. The remote for the awning has a function that should unlock the door as well and it does not work for the door either. The previous owner replaced the batteries in both remotes as well as the coaches batteries. I suspect they need reprogramed but do not know the steps or the brand of the product. I also have not been able to locate the under dash unit. Gulfstream does not respond with info. Does anyone know where things are located or any info about brands

I have a 2008 tourmaster 40A with the Freightliner and Mercedes.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my Gulfstream and have numerous complaints about quality control issues. I truely believe this is the worst purchase of any product that I have ever made

Luckiest Dre -

Can't speak with much authority, but a lot of coaches use the Tri-Mark keyless entry system. You can find info here -

Products / Electrical/Electronic | TriMark Corporation

I know this is what Monaco used on my Camelot. On the Monaco products, they ususally throw the receiver under the dash and you can access it by removing the panel on top the dash. Obviously, I have no idea where there would be installing it on your Gulfstream. There is a button on the receiver that you press to reprogram. It's all explained in the manuals which, if it is TriMark, you can download from their web site.

Good luck in your quest to figure this one out.

Thanks, I have talked with Tri Mark and they did not supply it. I have recieved info from another site that think it is a Pursuit and I have received the manual. The coach is at Freightliner, "again" waiting for parts so I need to wait to see if my new info works.

Now what I need to know is this: is this a problem with the manufacturer across the board or was this one of those mistakes which got under the radar of quality control?

Do you remember the song Johnny Cash did about the Wednesday car? It is a sure bet your unit was not manufactured on a Wednesday. Perhaps it was a hungover Monday or a can't-wait-to-get-drunk Friday.

While it is probably of no consolation -- most of us have purchased one item or another which made us wonder if we had lost our minds. You know, you get home and say .

One other thought. You didn't pray for patience or anything crazy like that; did you?

Not much of a prayer, but I sure am learning a lot about Motorhomes and what can go wrong with them! If I had half as many problems with my boats and my fifth wheel I would have never gotten into this MH!
