I have a 2003 Gulfstream Yellowstone Class C Ford E450HD V10 32 ft. I had a squealing noise in sync with the drive shaft. I had the center bearing replaced on the 3-piece drive shaft and the noise stopped, but I have a vibration at 40-53 mph. I was told that my drive shaft was out of balance, so I had the shaft balanced, and that didn't correct the problem. I was then told The back brakes were causing the problem. I had them rebuilt and the problem is still there. I told the RV center that I thought it had to be something to do with the replacement of the center bearing and they say that the bearing is good and installed properly. I'm out over $1000.00 and the problem isn't resolved. I believe in preventative maintenance and since I bought the unit new I have only had this RV shop service and do the work. Can anyone help, I'm about out of money.

Yes and they have driven it and now they say they don't know what it is. I think I need a new truck shop.

If this appeared after the center carrier bearing was replaced there is a chance the slip yoke was not realigned properly. This is kind of hard to explain without drawing a picture but I'll try. Any driveshaft or PTO shaft has to have the yokes in alignment, by looking down the top of the drivshaft from the front to rear imagine the first U-joint caps at 12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock. Now every U-joint on down to the rear axle should have the caps in the same exact position. I'm not talking about a perfectly straight driveshaft from the trans. to the rear end just the u-joints need to be "timed". In fact u-joints will last longer if every shaft has a slight angle difference than the one next to it. This angle helps rotate the needle bearing in the u-joint cap so they don't sit in one place and wear out the joint prematurely
