OK, after owning my 2000 Gulstream Scenic Cruiser for two months I discovered a electric switch with a red light at the foot of the bed ( usually hidden with a bedspread). Anybody have an idea as to what this turns on? Please, no wife jokes. Thanks.

Yeap - my bet would be for the block heater. That's where mine is located.

Thanks for the help. After further investigation, on my knees with a flashight, it is labeled Engine Block Heater. Just about the only switch labeled on this coach. Now comes the question, in the underside compartment (behind the left rear duals) where the 50 amp cable is located, there is a 115 volt outlet with a short cord comming in thru the inside wall that evidently plugs into this single outlet. I thought this was where the block heater plugs into, any ideas.

You are correct. The receptacle in the power compartment is controlled by the switch under the bed. The short power cord and plug goes to the engine block heater and has to be plugged into the receptacle when needed. Can also be unplugged in case the switch gets bumped on.
