I recently purchased the Gulf Stream Friendship model 8405. Shortly thereafter, I began having numerous problems with passenger seat (no electric power), stabilizers (no electric to 9/10 wire bundle), and generator slide. All breakers and circuit fuses have been checked. Could this be due to recent humidity in our area as it was dry when all systems checked out. I'm at a lose as to what to do before driving to Beadry RV and pay $?

Fuses first, then connections. check all electricial terminations at the screws or sta-kon connections. If that dosent get it, start tracing each wire individually. If humidity is a problem then remove each wire from its termination, take a pocket knife and scrap them, sometimes thats all it takes to get the current to flow properly. good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I should explain what I've attempted so far as it may lead to other possible solutions. Regarding the co-pilot chair, I used my voltmeter and confirmed no power to the black/white lines coming up through the floor under the chair. So I have no ability to check the ground or source of power from under the floorboard. As for the stabilizers, the 9/10 wire bundle has no power using my voltmeter however, there is another set of 3 wires that does have power. It does operate the "emergency retract" feature (thankfully) but the "Extend All" and individual extend options have no power. I also get a alarm sound when I plug in the 9/10 wire bundle to the back of the panel so I assume it's a warning indicator that there is no power. Again, I can't follow the wiring through the front dash as it's spaghetti down there. As for the generator slide, I noticed there is another switch in the outdoor electrical panel that extends the slide. I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Sounds like I may have to see a dealership unless someone has been there, done that and can share their experience.
