First Road Trip 2009 Trio

Heading to Cartersville Ga tommorow. A short trip 4 hours or so. We will
stay at the KOA. Visit my brother and head back Charlotte on Weds.
Would like to hear from Happy Gulf Stream owners. We love ours and we will
post pictures of our first trip soon.

Left Charlotte @ about 10am. No real problems getting on the road, even remembered the antenna. This DP drives like a dream. I knew it would be easier to handle but never thought it would almost drive itself. Made one doggie stop at the Georgia Welcome Center. Had a qiuck snack, there is not alot of space with both slides in, but it was fine. Headed back out and arrived in Cartersville at 2:15pm.
Started my set up as Tracy was walking Lemon and Tucker. I thought I was doing fine. I remembered the slide locks, new to us, and was just gettig to the slides when Tracy comes back to the MH and asks me why it's so high. Crap I forgot to let the air out of the rig. Damn !!!! So I started all over brought the jacks back up and lowered the coach and lowered the jacks a second time. I had to forget something or it wouldn't be RVing. All is well now. Dinner with the brother and a happy ending to our first day of our first road trip.

I have done the "leaving air up" thing several times. I even put a sticky note above the leveler panel and the ignition slot. It helps! I am not perfect yet!
