Generator stopped on it's own for the first time , it is a Generac, the original for our MH. It is gas and feeds from the MH fuel tank, 141 hrs.
Our fuel level in the MH was down to 1/4 tank (75 gal tank) so 'assumed' it would be ok until morning before need to refuel.. after the Genny stopped we just shut everything down and came back into the house. (kids were visiting and wanted to spend the night in the MH) Yesterday took the MH and filled it up with fuel, got back home and tried to start the generator but it wouldn't start, could smell fuel as if it was flooded out. Checked the oil levels , all was well there.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

141 hours on a 93 generator is not nearly enough. Your problem is probably in the carburetor from stored fuel that has gone bad. The generator needs to have a couple of hours put on it every month and use some fuel stabilizer when storing to prevent varnishing of fuel.

Thanks Mike,
the generator only had 15 hours on it when I got it last year. My sister and hubby never used it, as they only used the MH once a year to go from Fl to Oh and back home. And they used full hookups when they got there. So we are trying to make sure some of it gets used per the book. I have read those books so much that I almost could qualify for a mechanic test, on paper of course wish there was more detail info in the books.
?? since the gen uses fuel from the MH tank, will it have some fuel in the gen tank also? Just in case it ran out, do I need to put some in the gen tank for a prime? I went out this morning and used the start button inside the Mh but it just doesn't want to turn over and start. So I quit again. The oil and filter were changed in June but not the spark plug, also do you know whether it has a reset button or not. The portable one we have here for power failures have one.
sorry for all the questions, but if I don't ask, I won't get an answer..
thanks again, have a blessed day
Helen

First the generator doesn't not have a separate tank. It uses the fuel in the motor home down to 1/4 of a tank. It will not use all the fuel and strand you. If the generator does not turn over then you need to try it at the generator itself. If it still will not turn over check for good voltage, connections to both B+ and ground. Let us know what you find.
