Are you a member of the Gulf Streamers Club?

Are you a member of a local chapter of the club?

Have you received any support from Gulf Stream related to your being a member of the club?

I'm the past president of a local club (Sun Gators) and our club is involved in a heated debate regaring continuing as a Gulf Stream only club. Besides the mutual support of each other regarding our RV's we're having a hard time deciding to remain tied to the main gulf stream club. Any opinions?

Bill,
Welcome to IRV2,
I am a member of the Gulfstream owners forum on IRV2 and also another one. I get a lot of suggestions and help from the members here more than I do from the other forum.
I am not a member of a Gulfstream only local chapter as I am new at RV'n and am not aware of one in my area.
I have received support from the corporate office but I did not tell them I was a member of any group, only that I owned a Gulfstream and the yr, make and model and the problem that I needed addressed.
As to your dissolving your group for any reason should be the choice of the majority. However, I am happy right here on IRV2, so really not that interested in get-togethers of people with Gulfstream Rv's only. I am a member of the Texas Boomers and looking forward to a get together with them as from what I hear,, they are a "hoot" Some problems or issues are common to all brands of RV's and that is why I like this forum so much.
Hope this has helped you in making any decisions for yourself..
Again, welcome to IRV2.
Helen

We are members of Gulfstream International as well as the Ohio Cardinals chapter.

We have and will continue to support Gulfstream International and have received much support from International.

I guess I don't understand what type of support you are
expecting from International.

We just attended the Gulfstream "End of Summer" Rally. Over 30 rigs there from all over the country. It was a wonderful rally with lots of planned activities and entertainment.

It seems to me that if you don't want to attend Gulfstream only activities then maybe you would be better off joining a FMCA or Good Sam chapter.
Its a matter of preference I guess but for me, I enjoy the companionship of others who own the same brand that we do.

As I am new at RV'n how would I find out if there is a chapter here in East Texas, also did not know there was a Gulfstream International. Where/how do you get in touch with them?
We are not camping that much just yet, DH still works, and a few things need to get done on the MH as it set up for a few years. Just some regular maintenance and a few upgrades. What trips we have made so far has been with friends and family.
Thanks in advance.

I think RV Wizard's link was bad. Here is a good link.
Gulf Streamers International RV Club

From there click on chapters and then click on the state of Texas.
You will find the Texas Freedom Streamers, with contact Helen Riffle.
You can't go wrong there. Helen is an amazing lady.

Update!
Holmesaw, we both got the name wrong,, it is Hazel not Helen, but that is irrelevant . She did contact me, I have been invited on some outings that are coming up close to me..
Thanks again for the info, looking forward to meeting some folks.
Helen

Hazel, not Helen. Sorry about that Hazel. In any event, try to attend one of their rallys. You will have a wonderful time.
