We have a 2011 Gulfstream KingSport 288RLS and we like the camper (previously owned a Palomino Gazelle). The GS had a few minor issues just like any brand of camper would have and I just fixed them myself. I would say the quality is on par with other common manufacturers but nowhere near Airstream, etc. Of course, I could buy 3 or 4 Gulfstreams for the price of one Airstream. Would I buy another Gulfstream product? Sure.

1993 Gulfstream Friendship lxe
I'm a Full Timer, and I own a 1993 Gulfstream Friendship lxe, 20 years old, and have no problems, 150,000 miles and still strong. Aluminum Roof, Cummins 8.3CTA, Allison 6 speed, average 10 Mpg on Hwy.

GS has no info I can find in their archived sales literature. I don't know why I wanted the brochure; probably just to convince me that someone actually engineered it rather than just assembling it one Monday.
Also, RJEV Thanks for the toad info.

Ha! I feel the same way. I have a 1994 Tourmaster 32' 5th wheel. I have only found one other on the internet. I called GS and the girl said "Well maybe it was a promotional deal where we only produced a few units."
They produced a ton of Tourmaster motorhomes...but not in 5th wheels.

I am disappointed to read such disparaging remarks about Gulf Stream. We recently purchased a gently used 2008 Independence FRED. We used it about six times and thus far have not noticed any defects. Someone mentioned that Gulf Stream had two product lines. Does anyone know which grouping the Independence falls into?

There are many good RV's out there. Gulf Stream is just not one of them. Buyer beware.

I'm on my 5th RV and everyone of them (all different brands except for two Pace Arrows) had minor "fix me" issues without exception. My Gulf Stream is no different, minor "fix me" issues. Quality, in my opinion, goes beyond small issues. Major issues like walls delaminating or chassis' breaking or engines failing speak to quality. I have not had major issues that would make me say my motorhome is bad. Overall, very nice rigs.

I don't have a problem with G/S at all. I understand my unit is 20 years old and was perhaps a limited model. I do wish they would have taken a little time to look back in their production models and provide some info.

I have a 1998 Sunvoyager 8362 SVB that I just bought this past summer. Overall the coach is typical of medium priced RVs. The only beef I have is the spongy floors in the coach. I have looked at the subfloor and there is no water damage. I just believe they used thinner subfloor.
