Hydraulic Slide

My 05 sun voyager's main slide is hydrolic and is slow to to retrack especially in cold weather (which I understand?) my question is how do I manually retract if there is a problem?

If you do a Google search for the manufacturer of your hydraulic slide, you will perhaps find emergency retraction instructions. If you list the make and model of your hydraulic system here, perhaps someone else knows the answer to your question.

hydrolic slide

My hydraulic slides pump (also runs the jacks) has a hand pump next to the hydraulic pump (Equalizer Systems). Others I have seen have a place to hook a drill motor to back end of hydraulic pump. But this may not get slide in or out. There is a screw that needs to be turned to valve in position to allow movement of slide.
I downloaded a manual from manufacture that shows proper procedure to get slides and jacks when there is any type of failure.
As stated above you need to know manufacture of your system.

If you did not find the info on Equalizer Systems site. Here is a link to their support page. Manuals and parts are on right side page.
Off and on I have had problems pump running but valves not operating. I replaced the original wall switches with these on Amazon. They have made slides run faster and smoother. OEM switches had 3/16 connectors. New switches have 1/4" connectors. Only changes that were need for new switches.
Another item that helps is replacing oil in Equalizer System. Used Mercon II oil. Pumped tank empty. Filled with new oil. Cycled slides and jacks a couple of time. Pumped tank empty again. Filled with new oil again. Then cycled again. pumped empty again. Then filled and cycled again. May not have needed to do last time. But I had already bought the oil and figured it would not hurt. This made valves work better. Was thinking of synthetic oil. But decided not because of not knowing if seals in system would like.

Mercon II is Ford's brand of a Multi-Purpose Automatic Transmission Fluid. Dexron II is GM's brand. They are equivalent.

I used a Multi-Use transfer pump from Harbor Freight.
I bought a case of trans oil from Sam's Club. Split it with another GS owner. I may have misspoken on the oil type. I used what is stated in manual.
