Got the tourmaster 40f home yesterday. Put the main slide out out today, to load things. Went to put the slide out in tonight, and not a thing happened. I checked the fuse in the fuse compartment, checked the breakers in the lower compartment. Can't find anything. Everything else works fine. What do I check next??????
Thanks

The key won't come out unless it is.

Most likely an interlock. check your manual, as different manufacturers use different interlock systems

Did you move your driver's seat? Mine is locked out if the seat is not all the way forward.

My '05 Independence slides won't operate at all if the driver's seat is not moved all the way forward and the parking brake is completely engaged. From everyone's reactions to this, I guess that it's a Gulf Stream thing.
It's funny - I can't reach the seat lever without sitting in it, but if I gain any weight I won't be able to get out of the seat once it's all the way forward!
Must not be any fat people at Gulf Stream.

Theres a switch on the back of drivers seat. sometimes if you turn that seat around you break the wires. You can try to jumper to see if switch is bad.

Thanks everyone. The dealer is sending a service guy out this morning, so I'll let you know what they find. Already have a gash in my head from forgetting to stay low when under the slide out in the dark. That's a first also.

LOL. Okay, there's a microswitch under the master bed. When the bed tilts up and back to allow the slide to retract, it triggers this microswitch. Well, the shear pin was broken in the motor shaft, and the switch wasn't adjusted far enough to trigger that the bed was in fact upright, and retracted. Hence, it wouldn't let the slide in. Go figure. I tried every flippin fuse, breaker there was, and the problem was under the bed.
Thanks for all your help.
