Newby saying hi and a few general questions for starters
Hi. Just purchased a 2006 8295 Sun Voyager (Ford Chassis with 20k) and going to be hitting the road in a couple of months. A couple of quick questions to start if anyone would like to chime in. I do want to get an extended warranty. Is there a place that leads the field in that? Also, who has the most reasonable insurance? Progressive is ridiculous! Lastly, when I was driving this home from California, I noticed it really wanted to track in the ruts that the semi's have made over the years. Is that typical or is there something that could be worn out in the steering or suspension?
Thanks in advance!

re: Insur, check w/ ur auto insur carrier for vehicle/ accident? I.e. Progressive was 40-50% cheaper for me than Goodsam, in (MY) location/ history; Goodsam mailed me brochure last week, but my unit to old for them to cover :-) ; Your experiences may vary :-)
re: Extende Warranty: Save your pennies, and you may come out better, but also unsure if a policy gets youFASTER OR SLOWER service? I read nightmares about 6-months in shop, but unsure of reasons (OTHERS MAY CHIME IN HERE?)

We have a 2005 Sun Voyager 8379MXG. We bought it last year. We have all of our insurance with the little green lizard. For Maintenance coverage we have Good Sam. It's $1250 and they spread it out over 10 monthly payments of $125. That's for a 2005. I have a W22 Workhorse with the 8.1 ltr Chevy motor 9500 miles. I also have Good Sam Roadside Assist. $149 yr. It is good anytime in any car or whatever.

from WA State.
Even my 45' 50,000# rig feel unsettled in some areas.
I don't buy a service policy, too many eays to deny a claim.
Have CoachNet for towing and a credit card for the rest.

I have Progressive for my car and truck and they're really high compared to a few other quotes I've gotten. Perfect credit and perfect driving record and over 50. Pretty upsetting after being a customer for 10 years but I know Nevada insurance is higher because of 24 hour drinking.

That's about what I was quoted with Good Sam and it sure varies depending on the deductible. Sounds like a great coach you have! I wanted the Workhorse but I'm happy with the way the Ford chassis made it over the Sierras when I brought it home. Plenty of power. I'll have to check with the little green thing and see what they say. Thanks!

Thanks Mr D. Quite the coach you have! Thanks for the input and the welcome. I know when the ruts grabbed me, it caught me off guard and was a big surprise. Felt like driving in an earthquake. I'm going to get the suspension and brakes inspected when I buy tires next month.

Well I Had...
State Farm for about 35 years.
Home
Auto
Camper
but when I remarried and tried to add my new wife they wanted $1200 a year to add her. I know it sounds stupid but she had a company car and insurance for about 16 years. Both of us are over 65 and accident free.
Went to Geico with all of it , added boat and still saved enough to buy that little lizard a pair of khakis and a name tag that says "Jake"!
My point. Get it all from the same place. You know but don't "Bundle it"!
