I don't know if this is how it was made by Gulf Stream or something is missing. I looked under the LR slide when it was out and there is a large opening where both of the slide rails go in and out! Lets cold, mice, and everything into the big basement compartment.

If this is how it comes from the factory, has anyone found something effective to stuff in there when it is open?

Barb. I did not really think about that but I think your right. My Bounder I think had the same issue. I will look at Tom Johnson Camping tommorow, we are taking the Trio in for some "look at this stuff". We just got back from our shake down run. I will look at the Fleetwoods and Winnies and let you know.

Sorry that's how Golf Crap builds them.

We have the same hole and I used pieces Styrofoam and duct tape then ran the slide in and out to be sure it would fit.

Diveman52...All entry level coach have issues. Cold floors, mice in the coach, are talked (complained) about in every manufactures forum on IRV2. Now if you spent $400,000 plus your coach you probably can complain if the quality is not quite right. It is always the dealer or warranty company that cuases the anger. I have owned a Fleetwood class A , Winnie class A, a 21ft. TT , a Fourwinds Class c, None are perfect. I'd be interested in where or how you arrived at the Golf Crap name.

Yeah. "Gulf Crap" does not help out at all. I am thinking about the styrofoan or using reflectex on there with velcro

And yes, I have not had an RV without somethings I don't like. This is an entry level diesel but all that could be afforded in the time and size.

Hope you don't mind an SOB jumping in but the topic caught my attention. I have the same thing on my Neptune. Mice are bad enough but my gasket opening around the slide rails is large enough for a chipmunk or red squirrel to easily get in. Haven't fixed it yet, but I plan on trying styrofoam also.

Thank you. I hate that people won't admit that all coaches can have an issue. Today at Tom Johnson a Prevost was in the shop with issues. Know your dealer, get the right warranty. If you spend some time talking to the RV Techs you'll get it. Price does matter. If I spend a Mil, I get a Mil of service. If I buy a used DP for $140,000 I better have my ducks in a row. Peace D

WE all start somewhere and work our way up. I started with a 73 HR trailer. It's the great times and meeting new helpful people. There all china cabinets on wheels. My first was a 50/50 one. Looked good from 50 miles an hour or 50 ft away! Have a great time.
