Power Gear Leveling System

I have a 2006 Gulfstream Sun Voyager with a Manual Power Gear Leveling system.

I am not an experienced RV'er, but I have struggled to "get it level". Biggest aggravation being the Power Gear system does not allow individual jacks to go up. Only down.

Doe anyone that has this system have helpful tips or instructions?

Has anyone replaced the Manual Power Gear with an Automatic?

Thanks...

I lower the fronts first until they are just touching the ground.

I then lower the rears until they are just touching the ground. Then lower the rears separately to level up.

It seems to work most of the time..

One of my winter projects is to work on a replacement control pad that allow each jack to be raised independently.

use the front jack to level front to rear first. if you lower all the jacks, you are pivoting on the jacks, not the axles. this way takes less vertical movement, and results in a lower entry step when done.
then lower the rear jacks to the ground, so they just touch. level it side to side using only the rear jacks. tweak the front to rear if needed to finish the job.
this is what i always recommend on a three jack system.
i work for hwh now, but as a service manager for a fleetwood dealership, i have serviced power gear leveling systems and rooms for years.

Mine are manual only also, what ever end of the coach that's low, I bring down 1st till level front to back then the other ones to just touching then left to right, as mine are manual I use a digital level on the floor
If I need to retract I turn the key off when I want it stopped and then relevel

Levelmate Pro Helps

The best thing I did (being very new and having a devil of a time with leveling) was buy a LevelMate Pro (150 bucks) on Amazon. When I arrive at the site I pull into site and then pull in a few feet from where I think I will end up in the site. I open the app and it tells me how many inches each side of the coach is from being level. Then I use 3/4 inch thick plywood squares I made under the tires to get it close and the Power Level Manual jacks from there. I start with the front since booth jacks go down and get it to about .5 inches and then start working the back. Hopefully I've used enough plywood to make sure the wheels stay firmly planted. Many times I will hit the retract button until I feel the front release and then the power button on the panel quickly and start over, but I am getting better at it and the Levelmate Pro helps me get sooo much closer quicker since it gives me a measurement in inches. Now if I could just get a remote jack control panel.

Let me know if you have any luck finding an alternative control panel that allows you to control individual jacks up/down.

Hope that helps
