The DW and I made the plunge and purchased a 2008 TourMaster T40B, with the Mercedes 330. We have had the coach a little over a month and with all new coaches, there are bugs that need to be worked out.
However, there are questions that the dealership where I purchased the coach was not able to answer and the books that come with the coach leave alot to be desired. I have gone on the website and read the online manual, again in my opinion, useless.
My questions are:
The assigned "customer service rep". Are they real? I have sent two e-mails with questions and have not receive a response. I am not a great fan of telephones (hate being put on ignore) so I often opt for the electronic mode.
On my last coach (350 cat) there was a fuel filter that was accessible to drain off water. Where is it on this engine or does it not exist?
Pre-heater: Is there a switch fot this or do I plug it in the outlet and wait? None of the manuals discuss this and although I am not in freezing weather at this time, it will get below freezing next month (Southern New Mexico) and would like to know whether or not I should leave it plugged in or?
I do leave the furnace on (set at 46 degrees in zones 1 & 3) as a matter of routine.
Finally, is there a "owners manual" that comes with the coach? Again, the dealership wasn't able to properly anwer that question.
I know this in lengthy, but short of going on the ignore route, this is option B.
Thank you in advance.
Bob

Bob I hope I can be of some help. The fuel water separator is located on Passenger side just the the rear of the transmission. I have generaly had good responses from the service rep, but I have not had to contact one for over a year now. There are no pre-heaters on the Mercedes engins. They seem to start very well even in cold weather, but I have not tested this in temps below 20 degrees.

Bob, Like Art I haven't had the occasion to contact any service rep. When we were on the road and in need we spoke with any available person. The filter on our Tour Master is in the engine compartment (open rear doors) on the left. The pre-heater is a plug-in in the basement compartment that contains the shore power cord. Yep, the owners manual is the standard blue GS book which normally isn't too helpful. Charlie

Bob,

I'm not sure what region you are assigned to, but I have had good service from the western regional service rep. At first it was a little rough, as the rep was out of the office for a week, but after that it has been good. I have contacted her a couple of times via email and received a quick response. If you still haven't heard, you might call the main switchboard and ask for your rep by name. Good Luck.

Mike
