Rocker switches

Hello,
We have a 2005 GS Yellowstone 8408. We need to find out where to purchase the red lighted compartment switch and the green lighted water switch.

Here's a good place to start. Looks like your going to have to pop one out to get the correct size. Didn't look too far for colors.

They are called "Rocker Switches".

Usually these are standard switches by Carling or any number of other switch mfgrs. What makes you think the switch itself is bad? Sometimes you can break apart a switch and swap the contacts around-works like a new switch.

The switches are not bad themselves only the lights themselves. Thanks for the name brand name thatís a good research start.

green, exact match:

https://burnstines.com/products/12-v...t-on-off-black

red near-match; depends on cutout size:

Sigma Switches makes these switches. They do not sell direct. If you order from Burnstine's (as above), call them or send them an e-mail and ask for shipping by US Postal Service ($8.00 First Class or $11.00 Priority Mail). Their Web shopping cart checkout does not include these less-expensive USPS options.

Sigma part numbers for LED :
green: 20A-38
red: 1A-31

If you ask, Burnstine's will confirm if the Sigma switches are LED or not.

Those rocker switches are basic automotove switches. You may get lucky and find them at any auto store the trick is finding the right size.

or you can do what I do. My primary supplier dried up (Closed to public) but I have an alkternate suppolier

I have a bunch of LED indicators that are single hole mount. I drill the hole sticke the leads into the hole, slip the spring clip over the leads and mounting tube, and lock it in place, Red to switched, black to ground and I have an instant indicator light.. one that will outast me

Here is a page of assorted indicators. The ones I use are NOT here (they are like some of the neon jobs but hsoe are 120 volt, not 12)

Entry Strp Light

How about the entry light strip On the inside steps. On my 05 Gulf Stream MH I have a strip of about five amber lights that are in a vinyl rope it looks like. They illuminate the interior steps and are operated by the exterior door light switch. One of the bulbs is out. Does anyone know where to get replacement "Rope Light" strips or can the bulb alone be changed?
