Rubber roof sealant

Good morning, we purchased a 1999 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager, it has a weathered rubber roof. I have purchased 4 gallons of Dicor EPDM Rubber Roof Sealant, and 2 quarts of Dicor rubber roof cleaner activator. Would it be advisable to go over all the seams with a sealer prior to cleaning and recoating the roof. We are brand new to this adventure and I'd appreciate some input and or ideas from those of you who have had similar experiences. Thank you

I have done it twice using EPDM brand rubber roof coating. As prep I carefully cleaned the entire roof then applied Eternabond tape over end cap and side seams.I also used it around the flanges for vents. I used alcohol to clean the places where the Eternabond would go then the next day again over the tape to help the coating stick. I had no

problem.

I have a 31' RV which required seven gallons. I think that was the minimum to get good solid coverage. I don't know your length but you may want to be sure that you have enough.

Search on rubber roof here and get tips on how to apply. I used a roller and then a squeegee on a long stick. I did it in the shade and away from trees that shed leaves.

You will be amazed at the results! If you take before and after then post them.

Thumbs up Roof sealant

Thank you for your reply, information is always helpful. I will let you know how it turns out, once we get it done. A bit overwhelming right now, I'm sure we'll be relieved and hopefully satisfied at the end of the day. Safe travels.

Do you mean products from epdmcoatings.com (Liquid RV Roof)?

Which specific coating did you use?
