Slide Leak

I have a 2008 Tour master with two slides in the master. The slide is leaking above the window. I inspected the area from the outside and where the front side meets the roofline there is a metal moulding that seems to have a rubber gasket between it and the edge. The metal has a rubber insert that I expect, if removed will uncover screws that attach the metal. Has anyone removed this? What can I expect to find? Will a tube of caulking be what I need to stop the leak?

We also had a leak at the top of the slide where the slide topper meets the roof. My husband gummed it up with clear silicone and it hasn't been a problem since.
