Soft Spot in Floor by Toilet

Hello all
Im a newbie and have a question on a 2004 Crescendo Dp I am thinking of buying.

The coach is in good shape, Runs great very clean and appears it was well maintained.

I noticed a soft spot around the base of the toilet not very large but an indication of a leak, has anyone else had this problem?

It looks like I can remove the toilet and cut the bad spot out and re-do the floor. I am a carpenter so not afraid of the job.

Just wondering if anyone else has tackled this on a used RV

Thanks in advance..

Never experienced that, lucky I guess. That sound like a good negotiating tool, and pretty straightforward to repair. IMO the only difficult part (unless bad wood extends under a wall) will be replacing the wood surrounding the toilet flange,as it is glued to the down-pipe.
Most RV toilets use a thick neoprene gasket instead of a wax ring.

Yep.. not a hard job at all. Sounds like you have the skills. As long as you know what you are dealing with going into it. Not an especially difficult project.. other than the tight quarters where you will be working.
