I was about ready to purchase a Super Nova Hotel with the office package instead of the bunk bed area. My wife and I have no kids so we were not concerned about the room. My concern is the one post that I saw concerning the ride quality of this model. Does anyone else have any experience with this model? This will be my first RV and I am very hesitant to purchase one that is going to present problems from the start. I am retired and planned to tour the country for about five years. This would involve trips of two to three month duration before returning home. I did not want a Class A because of the gas mileage. In addition since I have no RV experience I thought this would be too big of a challenge for my first motor home. Any advice of this model would be greatly appreciated.

The ride of any coach will depend on several things. Tires should be inflated to the weight in which they are carrying. The coach should be loaded (not overloaded) and balanced as best possible. This is why it is so important to weigh the coach after you have everything in it you are going to travel with. Good luck and keep us posted.

We have a SuperNova grand hotel and we love it, but the ride is a little bumpy. We met another owner who told us he had a shocks package put on it and it made a world of difference. IT is offered by International Trucks and it is approximately $1200. Our other issue is with the DVD package. We have 7 kids so being able to spread the movie to several tv's was a great option, except we are on our third one. They work for a short time and then stop. We do not know if it is from vibrations, or dust or what. Has anyone else had similar issues?

the beast, first let me welcome you to iRV2.com and to the Gulf Stream Owners forum. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy this website.
I would suspect that the lifespan of the DVD players is due to vibration most of all but dust is also a contributing factor. On the large air ride class A's it is not as much a problem. You might want to try some soft foam rubber under the unit if you have the space.
