Smile Transmission temperature 04 Sun Voyager

I have just acquired a 2004 Sun Voyager with Workhorse Chassis. Any thoughts on installing a transmission temperature guage...if so, how easy is it to install?

The temp sensor is the challenge. If the sensor has 1/8 pipe threads, you can install in the front pressure tap on the side of the case, should be on drivers side and will be a small brass pipe plug. Make sure the sensor does not bottom out in the port and seal with pipe dope only, no Teflon tape. Some temp kits will have a tee for a coolant line. This will work but if you choose the wrong cooler line an inacurate temp reading will result. Some kits have you drill the pan to install sensor. This could leak!!

Welcome to iRV2.
I installed a adapter that clamps on the transmission cooler line.
Transcender Temperature Adapter
Also bought my Autometer gauge from them. It works very well. Will be off about 10 degrees from actual temperature. It does match my Scangauge II within those perimeters.
Another option is to get a Scangauge II.
Lots of info on iRV2 from oemtect on the Scangauge II settings. He is a commercial member here.
You can order a Scangauge II from him programmed for your WH chassis.
