Good Morning All, sure is hot here along the Mississippi River, just south of STL, be glas when this heat wave finally breaks, like so many other people. I don't get over here much, but I am going to try to change that, and get here more often.
Had to replace the gas line (rubber hose) from the main gas tank to the generator, because some critter chewed not 1 but 6 holes in it, needless to say we are going to have a chat real soon. The gen will not run on air.LOL
The next project was to replace the orginal tail lights with LED's, WOW, talk about being bright, better have your sun glasses on, I think you could see these a mile away. Glad I did it.
We have a new to us 2003 Cavaleir 29.5' with the normal bells and whistles, have had it for 3 years now, and just now got to thinking about some things I should probably know about the switches I mentioned in the title. Its heck getting old when things just go right through the sponge I have for a brain at times, Ya know what I mean!
You all saw the commerical that stated "THAT A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE"F, WELL I DO A DARN GOOD JOB OF IT SOMETIMES.
When entering the coach, under the step is the coach battery, next to the battery is a switch that when I turn it off I hear a relay disconnecting, it turns off some of the 12v stuff, the propane detector is still hot, which is probably a good thing. The question, does this switch take all of the 12v stuff off in the coach, heck I could find that out myself, when it cools down I will turn it off and check the 12v stuff and learn what is connected to that switch.
The other switch is the one on the left as you enter the coace, which says EMERGENDY START, is that switch the one if I pull the botton out, its a rocker switch, that will connect the house battery to the chasis battery circuit? What is the correct position for the switch, flat against the wall, or with the bottom pull out, I think it should be flat against the wall. The people we bought from didn't have a clue about it. They were really techincally inept. The wife even said to us in front of her husband that he didn't know one end of a hammar from the other, and she would not let him touch a thing.
You All Stay Cool
Bill
