In my 2002 Gulfstream freindship there is a XANTREX inverter in the motorhome has battery charger and transfer switch in the inverter. The inverter stopped working now I want to replace it with the best inverter there is any suggestion

What did the inverter stop doing? Have you done any diagnostics on it? If you have and know it is unrepairable, I would recommend a pure sine wave inverter/charger of the same wattage (probably 2000 watt) unit. If you stay with Xantrex, which is a good unit, the data cable can be used between a new remote controller and the inverter.

Yes be sure yours cannot be repaired, unless you just want to buy a new one then far be it from me to tell you what to do ha-ha. [moderator edit] Possibility yours can be fixed and save you a lot of money. If you are looking to upgrade the remote cable is not always the same for each model. If you can tell me what you have I can let you know what you can replace it with. If it is different, Xantrex makes a remote cable kit to correct this in most instances.

THankyou for your reply the inverter thats not working is a Xantrex freedom comby i was lucky and got a Xantrex freedom 458 inverter 2000watt charger cheep as the person updated to a pure sine inverter the remote came with it and is the same as the one I have with the old one. now I have to find someplace in ONTARIO CANADA TO GET THE ONE NOT WORKING CHECKED OUT
