What start and charges what?

On the Tourmaster T40B, what batteries start the gen? inverter batteries since there right above the gen? or what and is there anything that maintains the chassis batteries when parked and plugged into shore

Russ, the generator will start off the House batteries (ones connected to inverter). I am not sure it they are charging chasis off the 07 Tour Master, but if you have a volt meter you can turn on the headights for a couple of minutes while not plugged in; check the voltage at chassis battery, plug into shore power and recheck voltage. If it goes up when plugged in then they are charging both banks off shore power or when the generator is running. How are you liking the coach?

why I asked the question which batteries start the gen? because right next and above the gen there is a bank of 4 batteries for the inverter which I suspect will be also the starting batteries for the gen
