Tell them to take the coach to a qualified big truck suspension/alignment shop and do whatever it takes to get it right or walk away. Too many good, used rigs out there to get one that you have to fight to drive.

Is it a straight front axle or IFS? How do the front tires look? Any visible signs of uneven wear/cupping on the tires?

Please define "bump Steer". I have no idea what that means. What do you want to know about the front end?

And for those that don't know, that coach has a IFS as does all CC units of that age.

Mine had Goodyear G670 RV 295/80R22.5 that had 17k on them and 8 years old. It went all over the highway. Had a new set of Michelins installed, like night and day. What a difference tires make.

If the coach has original tires, they should be replaced. They are overdue. I suspect a qualified alignment and proper tires might go a long way to fix the problem.

thank you,
it was sent to truck alignment shop bill was 560.00. L.D will make first payment for trouble, going next week to test drive. the tires are bridgestone 2011 coach was garage kept & lovingly treated tires look like new. bump steer is correcting over & over, like the old chevy & ford one ton chassis with a coach on top,not the original purpose for the chassis

Have them also check the ride height and make sure it is correct. I had my Allure aligned when I got it and it drove well except for a lingering tendency to wander... not bad but just a tad. Recently found a 7/8" difference in side-to-side height on the rear (which also affects the front). Had that adjusted to spec and the wandering tendency was corrected.

brion,
i had this problem initially - it would not go straight but swung/oscillated all over the lane that i had to constantly correct the direction... mine was not the tires nor alignment; it was low on hydraulic fluid.
there was another user having had the same problem due to hardened seals on the steering pump/fluid controller. he spent a lot time and money pinpointing the issue... i just searched and couldn't find it any more...
