Well I for one am glad your back on the road. Just for my FYI what type and length of warranty is now associated with your $32,000.00 investment? Three years, 36,000 miles etc?

You have 22,300 reasons to find more satisfaction from Cummins :roll eyes:

Best of luck - go burn some diesel.

So when we see the late night commercial...

If you or a loved one had a failure in their Cummins 650 ISX engine you may have a claim....

We will know the source.

Mr D, Someone, (maybe it was you) commented that there were likely many more of these problems out there. Would contacting some of the warranty companies (i.e. Wholesale Warranties comes to mind) and ask if they would share info on claims paid out for ISX problems help? I imagine they would like to see Cummins own up to this problem just like you would and might share some info. As always there is strength in numbers.

Like I said earlier: you must have more info than I do!! I had to close out my IRA to pay and even then we were short some $5,000. Wife has been off work for three years and on long term disability too if Cummins comes through it would be helpful!

I don't have anything to offer but my sympathy. I have thought of trading off our DS for something newer but had fears of the type of stuff you are into. Decided to stick with our simple old DS and drive it till the end.
I certainly hope things turn your way.

Glad you have the Magna back Mr D.

Maybe a thread on here "Have you had problems with the ISX650?"

Gather enough folks together and you can approach Cummins as a group and perhaps see a better outcome on the costs. Just a thought.

I've said this before in regards, and hope that Cummins is reading the info available to them from sources like this board.

IMO, when either a design or manufacturing flaw impacts the integrity of a product, the company responsible should stand by said product doing what it takes to make things right.

For Cummins, their multi decades long history of a Corporate Culture of 'Doing the right thing.' seems to have shifted. First seemed to see this with the 'bandaid approach' to the ISL Wrist Pin problem, and now seeing in regards to this specific generation of the ISX.

It takes decades to earn a reputation, and just a few years to lose it. Cummins is rapidly losing a solid and respected reputation.

Ongoing best wishes Mr D,
Smitty

Well, we bought it in Junction City from a ver highly regarded dealer.

I was going to send you a PM but you have them turned off.
