I need some help. I was trying to replace my stairwell light and now all hell has broken loose.
From left to right
I have porch light, stairwell light,light in coach ceiling, not sure what this next light is for and then the stair switch.
Before I started messing around the porch light worked fine,the ceiling light worked fine,and the step worked fine. I had juice on both other switches but I am not sure what the 2nd switch from the right is for but that is not my issue right now. I bought a new stairwell light which only had 1 black wire. I looked under the coach and found a green and black wire that was wired into that original light. When I turned the 2nd switch on from the left I got juice. So I wired the black to black and grounded the green and now NONE of the other lights work and the switches they were on now ONLY control the steps.I have since un-wired it but the switches still ONLYy control the steps.You can see in the picture that all switches are jumpered together and I guess that is now causing the problem. I did not touch any of the wires on the switches. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Maybe the bay lights ?
Then each bay light has its own individual on/off switch

I'm trying to figure out why the 3 switches that worked stopped working and activate the steps now when turned on. Now if I turn on the porch light the steps go in same with the stairwell light switch.

From right to left in my coach, they controls pairs of light front to back. The one next to steps are the most forward pair, then you work back.

My guest is you short circuited it and blew a fuse. My inside lights are not on the same fuse as porch or the stair.

Thank you. I will check that out.I'm not sure why that would the stair would take over and control everything? Maybe it's because they are all jumpered together?

Very common for switch panels to have 12V feeds to be jumpered together. The ground for the end device - Ie steps, lights etc - need to be confirmed. Your change to the grounding may have altered the circuits.

Can you return all wiring back to original? Including the ground for the old step light - ie put old light back in with green ground wire connected.

Well, Everything is back to normal thanks to everyone's. I did blow a 20 amp fuse which controlled the porch light and the overhead light in the coach. I still could not get the new stairwell light to work but finally figured out that the ground was not working that the old stairwell light was connected, so I just made me another ground. I still don't know what the 2nd switch in the right controls but it is not the bay compartments lights because they work whether that switch is turned off or on. Thanks again for all the help

I have the same switch.

As I recall, the second switch from the right controls the single ceiling light panel near the refrigerator.

You do not indicate what model CC you are working on, so your rig is probably different.

Your picture of the switch in question seem to locate it on the upper dash panel.

Mine is on the wood door frame adjacent to the navigator chair.

FYI. If you look at the picture you will notice that 4 of the switches have the hot wire on the bottom. The step switch it is on the top. All of those switches are on the same fuse. Step switch is wired backwards but that is not causing your problem.

It appears that the hot comes in on one side and leaves the switch bank on the other side so there is something else also on that circuit.

On my same switch the order is:

Patio Light
Front Ceiling light
Two Salon Ceiling Lights
Light at Refrigerator
Step Light ...and... On/Off for Step functions. (no dedicated switch for entry steps light)

With the Step Switch on, the stairwell light will be on and the steps will extend or retract in sync with the open or closed position of the entry door.

With the Step Switch off, the stairwell light will be off and the steps will remain in their current position regardless of the entry door position.

Again it is possible your rig is differently wired.

That light may need a new light bulb. I went to the coach today and now the steps don't work and the 30 am step motor fuse and step switch fuse are fine. Any suggestions?
