2001 42' CC Affinity

Just finalized the purchase of the subject coach. While searching the internet, I came across information that the IFS may have tie rod ends with loose tolerances. There are replacements with more stringent tolerances. Although I drove the coach, it was windy and I did not drive far enough to notice steering that would indicate a problem. It was windy,I'm coming from a gasser and did not feel the wind anywhere near as much as with the gasser, but think my mind was more on the wind then on the steering stability. Has anyone changed their tie rod ends, if so what where the results?

Hey Hawg

I have an 01 Affinity like yours and haven't changed the tie rod ends. Haven't even seen any info on the tolerences. Where did you see the info?
Anyhow.........mine doesn't have any problems windy or not. Drives like a caddy. One hand driving all the way.
By the way what is the coach number? I'm 6009.

Luck

We have an 02 42' Affinity. No tie rod issues here.
