2002 intrigue tv exchange
I have a 2002 intrigue and want to change out the old tube tv's for flat screens, the bedroom shouldn't be too bad but the front might be a challenge.
I am sure someone has done this, does anyone have any pics or ideas ?
It looks like I should find a good cabinet maker that is experienced with rv's and let them look at it and possible rebuild the front cabinets with a drop down type tv.
This is what I have now.

Welcome to the forum.
I've replaced all three TVs in my Winnie without extensive cabinet rework but with that big, front mounted box you have you're probably better off consulting with a cabinet guy unless you're pretty good at wood working and have the necessary tools for the job. I'm not so sure he would need to be experienced with RVs.

You can remove the front TV and then remove the box it is in. The box can then be cut down so that it doesn't stick out so far into the cabin. The bad part is,, is there is a hole in the ceiling that will have to be covered up. This hole allows you to get to the antenna connection for the CB antenna and this hole will have to be covered somehow. Most people install another piece if trip and put puck lights in it such as I did. The reaf TV surround can be removed and then the TV comes out. Our new TV is hinged so that you can swing the TV out and use the area behind for storage. This is where our extra libations go. Our work was done by Amazing Creations in Junction City. Almost done
I spent the weekend changing the front tv to a flat panel, it was not as bad as I thought to make the changes in the cabinets and here are a couple pics. I just need to finish the ceiling panel.

badtip, nice job. what size of the tv is it? i 'm gonna do it in a couple weeks. not sure looks like a 27" will fit mine, 32" is kinda too big hindering abjacent doors to open...

The new tv is a 28" I had to modify the cabinet and the door to the right by 3" and shift the cd changer, surround sound control and the satellite receiver to make it work. I should have the ceiling done soon.

Thanks. I will check out the 27" Samsung at Costco. I am sure I will have to move a couple inches toward right too.

I just fit up the ceiling panel and I think it turned out pretty good for a amateur wood guy aka (pipe fitter)
