2006 Country Coach Inspire 360

Hi, Does anyone own this brand and can you tell me about the engine and Chassie and how the ride is? we are looking to buy our first DP and need help. This one has 26,988 on it. Can you tell me how many Air Bags it has and if this year/Brand had any issues we need to look for. Thanks for the help.

Tractor,
I have a 2005 Inspire 40' which has a realatively long wheel base, 4 air bags, rides very well after a slight alteration of the ride hight valve for the front. I had to add a power take off lube system but that may not be needed on a 2006. The long wheel base, 297 in., makes for nice handling but you do have to allow for it on driveways or in town corners. Check to see if it has a power take off from the transmission and if it's had the lube pump added.

Tractor16 - Country Coach was one of the best makers in the year you specify 2006. We have had our CC almost three years now and are using it right now in a two month trip. In my opinion after three years of ownership, CC was very quality oriented in the design, assembly, and component quality of their RVs. If you want a read out on the one you are looking at go to the RVCG web site and purchase their opinion at a modest cost.

That said, I can tell you that all the good makers like Monaco, Newmar, Beaver, and so on use mostly the same components. So many of the buses of similar cost are very close to the same. The thing I really like about CC in this area is they used some good judgement in picking out things like motors and transmissions that were heavy duty enough to get the job done.

Make sure the floor plan works for you!!!!!!!

We have an '04 Inspire 40' and quite honestly it's hard to find much fault with it. The effort placed in the fitment of the interior wood looks like it was done by furniture craftsmen. It rides well, handles well and still looks good. The 350ISC Cummins gets us anywhere we want and probably doesn't use any more fuel than other diesel pushers.

Very pleased with this CC

Thank you guys for all your good info on this Brand of Coach. She looks like the Cats Meow of a DP. We have a gasser and this would be a big step up for us. We have never owned a DP so we have so many Questions we don't know where to start. We are from Arizona but are on the Road in Up state New York and found 1 in the Phoenix area at Camping World. We are waiting for a Response as to what the Coach has on it and the Options. We hope to get some answers soon. We will be back in Arizona about this same time next month. Thanks Again Frank & Teri.

Thanks for the Info. We have since got the info from Camping World on the coach they have and we have also found one in Tucson which is 20000.00 more then Camping world. We also found 1 in Mesa, Arizona that is about the same price as the one at camping world except it has 3 slides and is a 40' and the Camping world is a 37' with 4 slides. I think i like the 40' and they posted on utube so we got to see all the in's and outs of the Coach. Is 600 hrs on the Generator alot for a 2006? it has about 45000 miles on it. The front tires are 2010 and the back ones they are putting new ones on. They have fixed the Norcold recall. Does anyone know about any other Recalls for that year on this Coach. Thanks

Tractor16,
You should inquire if the ones you like have had the "wet kit" for the transmission power takeoff installed. I have the 05 Inspire "Genoa" 40' and we love it. Not sure about 600 hrs on Gen but we have 65,000 + miles and consider it just well broken in.

Tractor16 - 600 hours is a low amount. We have maybe 2,300 hours. Which is almost exactly the same hours as on our main drive motor. Seems like about six months ago on this forum there was a poll taken and some had diesel generator hours of many thousand.

Tractor16,

Another item that you should check is if they have replaced the aluminum radiator that had a reputation for early failure. Mine was replaced by Country Coach even though it was beyond warranty.
Another web page that is more specific on CC's is ...
Country-Coach-Owners : Country Coach Owners Association
You can do a search for radiator issues or the wet kit add on.

Tractor16 - We bought our coach in Mesa AZ. Lots of very good dealers in the area. Both regular ones and consignment lots. There are also a couple of very good dealers around where Country Coaches are built in the Eugene Or area. And no sales tax in OR. We are just a little behind you. We are in Chicago on the way to Cleveland. So far coach running well. We did blow a dash air, air cond hose about a 1,000 miles back though.

Thanks B Bob, we got response from Dealer and they will check into the issues that you all posted to look at and let us know if they have been fixed yet. We are at a really nice Campground called the Villages at Turning Stone in Verona, New York and has a Casino so we will go to Dinner and try our Luck We should be in Illinois by Saturday for 2 days then on to Iowa City for 4 days to go to the Antique Tractor show in Mount Plesent, Iowa. Looking forward to that as we collect Antique tractors and yes we have 16 right now It keeps me out of Trouble and DW knows where to find me In the Barn or Cargo Countainer playing with my Toys.
